Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical background who can serve as an additional engineering quality and delivery checkpoint for development teams. This role is focused on improving execution efficiency, strengthening engineering processes, and ensuring predictable delivery. Strong technical understanding will help drive informed decision-making, communicate effectively with engineers, and maintain high standards of engineering execution.

Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery execution and monitor engineering workflow across development teams;
• Ensure high-quality task decomposition, backlog structure, and Jira hygiene;
• Identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks;
• Help engineering teams prioritize work and maintain focus on the highest-impact initiatives;
• Track delivery timelines, execution quality, and overall team predictability;
• Facilitate quarterly planning and coordinate execution across multiple workstreams;
• Support senior engineering leadership with operational initiatives and process improvements;
• Ensure timely escalation of delivery risks, dependencies, and critical issues.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager, Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, Delivery Manager, or a similar role;
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development processes;
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and engineering delivery practices;
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle;
• Experience with Jira and other Atlassian products;
• Strong analytical and systems thinking skills;
• Ability to organize complex workflows and structure information effectively;
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify problems and improve processes;
• Ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes;
• Ability to balance execution quality with delivery speed.

That would be a plus:

• Knowledge of Python and SQL;
• Higher technical education;
• Hands-on engineering background;
• PMP, IPMA, or CSM certifications.
